What is scootRflix?
scootRflix is a small, privately-run collection of media and library services — think of it as a personal streaming and library network for friends and family. Everything is self-hosted, ad-free, and built around a single login: your Plex account.
The services
| Service | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Plex | Watch movies & TV shows |
| Seerr | Request something that isn’t in the library yet |
| RomM | Browse and play retro games |
| Book Orbit | Read and listen to eBooks, audiobooks & comics |
| Shelfmark | Request new book titles |
One login for (almost) everything
Most services on scootRflix don’t have their own separate username/password. Instead, they use “Sign in with Plex”, backed by an identity provider called Authentik. That means:
- You use the same Plex account everywhere.
- There’s nothing extra to sign up for or remember.
- Access is automatically tied to your Plex library share — if you can see the server in Plex, you can sign in to the other services too.
Not sure how this works in practice? See Signing in with Plex for the full walkthrough.
Something behind a wall?
A few services sit behind Cloudflare Access for extra privacy. If you see a Cloudflare verification screen before you even reach a sign-in page, just enter the same email address you use for Plex — that’s what unlocks it.
Still stuck?
Check the service status page first — it’s usually faster than asking. If everything shows green and it’s still not working, jump into Discord and open a ticket in #support.
